In the oil medium, 0Cr13 is used for metal strips, while 1Cr18Ni9Ti is recommended for other media.

Stainless steel with flexible graphite winding pad in the gas medium, the use of pressure of 14.7MPa, in the liquid can be used up to 30MPa.  Temperature -190~+600℃(in the absence of oxygen, low pressure can be used to 1000℃).

The winding pad is suitable for heat exchangers, reactors, pipelines, valves, and pump inlet and outlet flanges with large pressure and temperature fluctuations. For medium or higher pressures and temperatures exceeding 300 ° C, the use of inner, outer or inner rings should be considered. If the concave and convex flange is used, the wound pad with the inner ring is better.

A good sealing effect can also be obtained by sticking flexible graphite plates on both sides of the flexible graphite winding pad. The waste heat boiler of a large chemical fertilizer plant is a key equipment of high temperature and high pressure. The flexible graphite winding pad with outer ring is used, which does not leak when the load is full, but leaks when the load is reduced. A flexible graphite plate 0.5mm thick is added on both sides of the gasket and cut into an arc shape. The joint part is made of diagonal lap joint, which is in good use.
