Jinbin Valve is currently rushing the production of several large-diameter carbon steel dampers with a size of 2 meters.DN2000 large-diameter dampers are mostly circular ventilation butterfly valves or louver dampers. Designed for high-flow and low-pressure ductwork, they are used for air volume regulation and airflow shutoff in large-scale systems. Not suitable for ventilation in ordinary small buildings, they are widely applied in industrial flue gas treatment, municipal infrastructure, large ventilation and smoke exhaust projects to ensure stable operation of various ventilation and waste gas treatment systems.
The power sector serves as its core application area, mainly for air and flue gas ducts in thermal power plants. Installed at the inlets and outlets of boiler forced and induced draft fans, these dampers precisely adjust air volume to stabilize combustion. They are also used in main flue gas pipelines for desulfurization and denitrification, isolating airflow during equipment maintenance. In addition, they can be fitted to boiler bypass ducts and chimney inlet flues to facilitate unit start-stop switching and equipment protection.
DN2000 dampers are commonly adopted for high-temperature and high-dust working conditions in the building materials industry, including cement, glass and ceramic plants. In cement plants, they regulate high-temperature dust-laden flue gas in kiln tails, clinker cooler hot air ducts and main dust removal pipelines of grinding workshops. For glass melting furnaces, hot blast stoves and ceramic kilns, they are installed on main exhaust gas pipelines to withstand high-temperature flue gas and guarantee compliant discharge of production waste gas.
A large number of such dampers are deployed in ventilation and dust removal systems for metallurgy and mining. In iron and steel sintering and blast furnace hot air and dust removal flues, they handle high-temperature dust-laden waste gas for flow regulation and pipeline isolation. Explosion-proof DN2000 dampers are used underground in coal and metal mines, mounted on main ventilation fan ducts to adjust underground air volume. They are also applied to main dust removal ducts for crushing and screening workshops to secure ventilation safety on site.
In the field of environmental waste gas treatment, DN2000 dampers are mostly installed on main pipelines of large treatment facilities. They work with RTO and RCO waste gas incinerators to adjust organic waste gas flow and switch pipelines, and support air volume control and maintenance isolation for large baghouses and electrostatic precipitators. They are also suitable for flue gas discharge from waste incineration plants, deodorization ducts, landfill biogas transmission, as well as acid, alkaline and process waste gas pipelines in chemical plants. Corrosion-resistant materials can be selected according to the medium.
For municipal transportation infrastructure, ventilation and smoke exhaust in tunnels and metro systems are typical application scenarios. In long highway and railway tunnels, main ventilation and smoke exhaust ducts adopt these dampers for routine ventilation and emergency smoke exhaust in case of fire. They also stabilize airflow in metro station exhaust ducts, positive pressure air supply ducts and section tunnel ventilation systems to guarantee ventilation and fire safety for rail transit.
For HVAC and fire protection in large buildings and industrial facilities, these dampers are only installed on main air ducts. 280℃ high-temperature resistant fire-rated models are used for fresh air and exhaust main ducts of large factories and hyperscale data centers, as well as main smoke exhaust ducts in high-speed railway stations, exhibition centers and underground complexes, meeting fire ventilation codes for large-space and high-air-volume applications.
Custom damper configurations are required for different working conditions: carbon steel hard-seal butterfly valves are selected for high-temperature and dusty environments in power plants, cement plants and steel mills; high-temperature fire-resistant types are used for tunnel smoke exhaust; stainless steel or lining materials are adopted for corrosive chemical conditions; and explosion-proof actuators are mandatory for underground mining to meet safety operation requirements for various complex working conditions.
