Rubber flapper swing checkvalves are uniquely simple in design but durable for use on a variety ofapplications.

With only three major parts:body, flapper and cover, there is relatively on maintenance. However, theflapper can be replaced in a matter of minutes. The valve body seat is on anangle of 45 degree to the centerline of the pipe, permitting horizontal orvertical flow up installation. With the flapper full open, there is a straightunobstructed flow passage, so all foreign matter is flushed away by the flowingmedium. This eliminates clogging. Due to this unobstructed flow passage thepressure drop is considerably lower through the rubber flapper check thanthrough conventional swing check valves.

Normally rubber flapper swingcheck valves are made of ductile iron. The flapper is Buna-N but can becompression molded from various synthetic rubbers.
