At Jinbin Valve’s workshop, final inspections are underway for a batch of DN1200 carbon steel metal seated butterfly valves, with matching flange expansion joints supplied for each unit. 

A triple eccentric hard sealing butterfly valve opens and closes via a 90° rotation of the circular disc around the central shaft of the valve body. The disc rim is fitted with a solid metal sealing face while the valve seat is made of alloy metal. The disc connects or separates from the seat during rotation: fully open at 0° and fully shut off at 90°. Sealing tightness is achieved as medium pressure presses the disc against the seat; eccentric designs further wedge the disc onto the seat upon closure to eliminate clearance and deliver bubble-tight shutoff. Unlike rubber-lined soft-seated alternatives, it relies entirely on rigid metal-to-metal sealing for superior high-temperature and high-pressure resistance.

Application Scope

Widely deployed in main heat supply pipelines for thermal power plants, blast furnace gas lines in metallurgy, high-temperature oil piping for petrochemical refining, municipal steam heating networks, coal slurry pipelines for coal chemical industry, mine tailings conveyance, power plant circulating water & flue gas desulfurization ducts, as well as high-temperature heat transfer oil and high-pressure compressed air pipelines. It is the preferred isolation valve for piping carrying high-temperature and solid-laden media.
