These are fan shaped blind valves with a size of DN1450, equipped with an electric device. They have undergone rigorous pressure testing and opening and closing tests and are waiting to be packed and dispatched.
Large-diameter sector blind plate valve with a diameter of DN1000 and above are key equipment designed to meet the isolation requirements of super-large diameter pipeline systems.
In terms of advantages, the first one is its outstanding sealing performance. This type of valve mostly adopts a dual-sealing structure of “elastic seal + metal hard seal”, which can still achieve zero leakage even under large diameters of DN1000 and above. It is especially suitable for scenarios with strict sealing requirements such as gas and toxic media, avoiding the problem of uneven force on the sealing surface caused by large diameters.
Secondly, it is highly efficient and convenient to operate. The fan-shaped structure is more compact than the traditional blind plate, and its weight is only 60% of that of the gate valve of the same diameter. It can be combined with electric and pneumatic drive devices to achieve remote opening and closing, solving the problem of laborious manual operation of large-diameter valves. The opening and closing time of a single valve is usually controlled within 30 seconds, significantly improving the operation efficiency.
Furthermore, it has strong safety redundancy, equipped with mechanical locking devices and limit switches to prevent misoperation. The blind valve body is made of high-strength cast steel or welded steel plates, which can withstand high pressure (usually up to 1.6MPa) and impact, and is suitable for complex working conditions. In addition, the maintenance cost is low. The sealing parts can be disassembled and replaced separately without the need to disassemble the entire pipeline. It is particularly suitable for continuous production scenarios in large-diameter pipeline systems where “shutdown means loss”.
The application scenarios are mainly concentrated in key areas that require large-diameter partitions: In municipal gas engineering, it is often used in the main pipelines of urban natural gas networks with diameters ranging from DN1200 to DN2000, to achieve safety partitions during pipeline maintenance and branch connection, avoiding large-scale gas outages. In the atmospheric and vacuum distillation units and catalytic cracking units of the petrochemical industry, the main pipelines for transporting crude oil and refined oil products with a diameter of over DN1000 need to frequently switch processes or isolate equipment.
Their rapid opening and closing characteristics can reduce production interruption time. In the wet desulfurization/denitrification systems of the power industry, it is suitable for the main flue gas pipelines with a diameter of DN1500 or more, and can isolate high-temperature flue gas (with a temperature resistance of up to 300℃) during reactor maintenance. The dry dust removal system for blast furnace gas in the metallurgical industry requires that the gas transmission pipelines with a diameter of DN1200 and above be resistant to the erosion of dust-containing media. Its metal hard sealing structure can operate stably for a long time.
