Recently, several closed blind valves have been completed in the workshop of Jinbin Valve. With a size of DN700, working pressure of PN10, they are made of Q235B carbon steel.

Closed type goggle valve (DN700 carbon steel type) achieve pipeline opening and closing through the “open/blind” conversion of the valve plate. During operation, the drive mechanism first releases the valve body’s sealing surface, allowing the valve plate to move horizontally to align either the through-hole or the blind hole with the pipeline. Once in position, the sealing surface is clamped again to form a zero-leakage isolation. The sealing surfaces do not come into direct contact during opening and closing, significantly reducing wear and ensuring long-term reliable sealing.

Compared with ordinary valves, they can achieve absolute isolation of pipelines, serving as the core safety guarantee for the maintenance of pipelines carrying hazardous media. The carbon steel material is suitable for neutral and weakly corrosive media, offering low cost and high structural strength, making it ideal for large-diameter applications such as DN700. Additionally, they feature minimal wear during operation, a fully enclosed structure to reduce external corrosion for a long service life, and support electric/hydraulic actuation for remote control. This eliminates the need for personnel to directly contact hazardous media, making them suitable for industrial automation scenarios.

These valves are widely used in the metallurgical industry for the maintenance isolation of blast furnace gas and coke oven gas pipelines, preventing toxic gas leaks and ensuring the safety of furnace and pipe network maintenance. They are also applicable in chemical and environmental protection fields for the opening/closing control of pipelines carrying corrosive and flammable/explosive media such as chlorine gas, ammonia, and industrial flue gas.
